The history of Welsh Bakery

The welsh bakery started in 1980 by Brian (Ginger) Davies, his experience learnt while working with his family’s bakery in merlins bridge gave a solid foundation to begin this well loved local bakery.

Using traditional methods, local talent & local suppliers this is surely a welsh bakery. Where pride in our work means everything.

We have grown from modest beginnings with one small premises in milford haven to a larger shop/cafe, a busy premises in Haverfordwest  idyllically located near the old bridge and the River Cleddau and not forgetting the well loved Haverfordwest farmers market where we get an enhanced opportunity to show off our wares.

We boast a broad product range across all sectors of the bakery spectrum. Mixing traditional with contemporary. Whether it be breads, rye’s gluten free, large savory selection, morning goods, delicious cakes, celebration cakes and more.

As a small business care for our customers is foremost in our minds. We take care to listen to & learn from what customers require & expect in our continued journey & our strive for excellence.

In recent times Brian’s son Robert and his wife Jayne have taken on a larger roll within the bakery. Further expansion is on the horizon, watch this space….
